The Main Hall at Magdalen Hall Association & Community Bar is a flexible, spacious venue located just moments from Tower Bridge. With its built-in stage, the hall is well-suited for parties, classes, theatre productions, and community functions.
The space comfortably accommodates up to 120 guests, or up to 150 when hired together with the adjoining hall. It’s ideal for workshops, rehearsals, auditions, and larger gatherings. Hire rates are competitively priced, with member discounts available, and a £250 deposit is required to secure the booking.
Please note:
Alcohol restrictions apply for events where attendees are under 18.
Birthday parties for ages 13–24 must have security present to ensure safety, manage behaviour, and prevent outside alcohol or prohibited items being brought in.

Rules
Deposit
A £250.00 deposit for the Main Hall (£100.00 for Secondary Hall) must be made to secure any booking and must be paid before the booking can take place, this is fully refundable if you have adhered to our booking terms and conditions and there were no additional cleaning charges required, this will be returned within three days of your booking. The terms & conditions will be sent to you in your enquiry.
Set Up and Tidy Up Times
You have one hour free to set up before your booking time and thirty minutes free to clean up at the end. If you run over your end time you could be charged extra at the rate you hired the space.
What Can You Bring?
You are allowed to bring soft drinks, catering & decorations. You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol to the venue, doing so can have your event stopped. Any drugs brought onto or consumed on site will result in the event being stopped & police being informed, we have zero-tolerance.
Behaviour of Guests
The behaviour of your guests is your responsibility. Any unsociable behaviour or violence will result in your event being stopped and police being called. If any damage is found to Association property then this can affect your deposit. Birthday parties for 13-24 year olds will require security to keep order, prevent illegal items & outside alcohol.
Cleaning
The spaces must be left clean as found. Our non-cleaning fee is £120.00. This will be charged to your deposit if cleaning is not satisfactory.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in the courtyard where ashtrays are provided.
Age Verification & Building Sign In
If accompanied by a responsible adult; under 18's are allowed. Where there are bar parties, your guests over 18 must bring ID, this will be scanned into our security scanner to sign guests into the building. We operate a GDPR policy.

We have no car park, but there is free on street parking available after 18:30 on weekdays & all day on weekends.
